Your group stay in El-Jadida
A city built by the Portuguese in the 16th century, El-Jadida has become a very popular seaside resort. You will therefore find many hotels that can accommodate your group during your group stay in Morocco, ranging from cheap accommodation to hotels with a spa on the seafront. To the north of the city, there is a tourist complex with golf, casino and spa. The city does not have an airport. The easiest way for your group is to land at the Casablanca airport, located about 2 hours by bus, taxi or rental car.
El-Jadida is very popular in July and August. During these two months, its beaches were stormed by the Moroccans. Your group will probably prefer the beach of Sidi Bouzid south of El-Jadida, connected to the city centre by a bus. Much more than its beaches, it is the Portuguese city, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, that makes El-Jadida so interesting. This fortress is a very good example of Renaissance military architecture with its star-shaped ochre-coloured ramparts that shelter a maze of alleys. Returning to Morocco in the 18th century, this Portuguese city now mixes European and Moroccan influences. It is a place where your group members will enjoy strolling, getting lost or eating in a traditional restaurant.
