The Penck Hotel Dresden is the perfect place for your business or city trip, family outing or event in the centre of Dresden. Within just a few minutes’ walk, you’ll find yourself in the historic old town of Dresden with all its landmarks such as the Frauenkirche, Residenzschloss, Semperoper and Zwinger.

The just recently renovated hotel in a central city location was named after the famous artist A.R. Penck who was born in Dresden. You can find over 700 of his pieces in the hotel. Art lovers will not only get their money’s worth in the design hotel itself, but also in the museums of the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden (Dresden State Art Collections), located close by on foot. Whether the Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister, Albertinum, Porzellansammlung or Mathematisch-Physikalischer Salon, the unique cultural landscape of the Baroque metropolis Dresden has something to offer for everyone.

The hotel has 174 rooms and junior suites which are full-featured in 4* hotel comfort. Each room contains not only allergy friendly floors, comfortable double beds, a desk, a room safe, a flat TV with Sky reception (1 and Atlantic), a coffee and tea set and a tablet but also pieces of the artist A. R. Penck. There is free high-speed WIFI available throughout the hotel.

Relax in our sauna after an eventful day or get active in our fitness room with a view over the rooftops of Dresden. Otherwise you can try one of our tested jogging routes along the Elbe meadows.

The hotel has 7 conference rooms with 50 to 600 square meters available for all kinds of events. The highlight is the art gallery (Kunsthalle) with its industrial design which contains space for constantly changing exhibitions of contemporary art. Various types of events with up to 300 people find their unique frame here.

The à la carte restaurant offers fresh regional cuisine, homemade cakes and Saxon specialities. You can also relax by enjoying local beers and wines from the region at our bar. With Sky sports you can watch any soccer game of German Bundesliga or Champions League “live”. We attach much value to local and regional suppliers. Which is why we source our baked goods, meat and sausage products as well as soft drinks, beer and wine from suppliers out of the region.
