This abbey is an iconic place with a fascinating history. It was founded in the 9th century and has seen periods of prosperity and turmoil over the centuries.
Despite the many events that have marked its history, Saint-Ambroix Abbey was rebuilt and enlarged, becoming a mansion known as the Hôtel de Bourbon in the 19th century. Finally, in 2018, it was completely renovated.
