The Religious House of Hospitality “Amici di San Francesco” is
located in Maiori, one of the tourist gems of the Amalfi coast,
exclusive location famous for its interesting historical, artistic and
cultural heritage, perfectly blended with one of the most enchanting
natural landscapes in the world.

Characterised by a wide beach, a suggestive tourist harbor and a
beautiful promenade with trees and palms, Maiori also hides an
historical town center rich in important evidences of the past, set
along the narrow alleys of the town, such as the medieval castle of San
Nicola de Thoro-plano, the remains of the defensive walls, the Bastion
of San Sebastiano, the ancient Abbey of Santa Maria de’ Olearia, the
watch towers and the valuable artistic masterpieces preserved in
churches, monasteries and convents.

Perfectly served by public transports, Maiori, due to its strategic
position, is an ideal starting point for pleasant excursions to the
other locations both of the Amalfi coast (Positano, Ravello and Amalfi)
and of the Sorrento peninsula, to the archaeological sites of Paestum,
Pompeii and Herculaneum and the islands of Capri and Ischia

Religious House of Hospitality "Amici di San Francesco", an integral
part of the fifteenth century "San Francesco" convent and of the
relative Church, is an oasis of peace, immersed in a natural environment
of uncontaminated beauty, a few steps from the sea and the center historical of Maiori. It is the ideal place to stay both for single people and for families
and groups of people, eager to share a path of faith and Christian
spirituality or simply a quiet and peaceful atmosphere.

Managed
with Franciscan simplicity, in the splendid setting of the cloister and
of the citrus-cultivated garden, some scenes of the "Paisà"
cinematographic masterpiece, directed by the master of Italian
neorealism Roberto Rossellini, were shot. Moreover, in the garden of the convent, wandering among citrus groves,
flower beds and Mediterranean scrub, it is possible to admire the
Grotto of San Bernardino, with the source that the Saint made to gush
from the bare rock.

The hotel has rooms for meetings and meetings, a small bar, an indoor
chapel, a well-stocked public library, a small theater, a private car
park and a partner beach.
