Het King’s Inn City Hostel opende in 2013 haar deuren op een historische plek in het centrum van Alkmaar. In het monumentale gebouw aan de charmante Koningsstraat waren ooit een kolenloods en het ‘kachelhuis’ van Piet Henke gevestigd. King’s Inn heeft dit bijzondere pand verbouwd tot een eigentijds hostel, voorzien van alle moderne gemakken. Tegenwoordig is het in het hostel en het nabijgelegen hotel komen en gaan van een gemêleerde groep gasten. Backpakkers, scholieren, particulieren en zakenmensen vinden hier graag hun thuis.
