Traveling to Toulouse

The regional capital of Midi Pyrénées has grown on the banks of the Garonne, in the South-West of France. The city is roughly 680 km from Paris and Geneva, and 1000 km form Brussels. All modes of transport will take you to Toulouse - you can take the train, fly there or drive your car, though some options will turn out to be more convenient according to where you live.

The Toulouse Blagnac international airport is located 10 km away from the city centre; shuttles leaving every 20 minutes take you to Toulouse's Matabiau central railway station for 8€. The ride takes 20 to 45 minutes, depending upon traffic. The airport welcomes both international and domestic airlines.
The railway option is more time-consuming, since Toulouse is not served by a fast track line yet. However, trains setting off from the main French cities can take you there.
If you live in Spain or in the South-West of France, driving your car can turn out to be a good solution. This is definitely the cheapest option in that case. Besides, if you cannot charter a whole bus for your group trip, you can try the regular bus lines that have been developing since the liberalization of the sector started; they usually offer good rates.

Hotels of all standards for all kinds of groups

Toulouse is the 4th biggest city in France and constitutes the core of the 4th largest French urban area. This regional landmark enjoys international fame, as home to the world headquarters of Airbus, and harbors many universities and industries in the aerospace sector. It is no wonder if Toulouse boasts such a wide array of hotels equipped to welcome all kinds of groups. Let's take a tour of the main city districts. The iconic Capitol square is the throbbing heart of the city, and hosts the most luxurious hotels. A few steps away, Wilson square is the crossroads for the main axis in the city, and a platform for exchanges; on the opposite, Saint-Georges square is more peaceful and invaded by cafés. On the other side of the Capitol square, a busy shopping area thrives in the small streets of the historical centre, reaching as far as the Garonne banks. If you keep walking on the banks southwards, you get to the Marché des Carmes, a lively quarter with small shops. Eastwards, Dupuy square is famous both for its night bars... and for its busy market on Sunday, around Saint-Martin church. South of place Dupuy, the Grand Rond Point is a green area encompassing the Jardin Royal (Royal Garden). North-West of the city centre is the Matabiau railway station, surrounded by the city's biggest business centre. Toulouse has many venues that host trade fairs; the biggest one is the Parc des Expositions, located on the Grand Ramier island on the Garonne River.
